Firewalling Overview (by Account)

You can access the firewalling overview for your Account by clicking the "Manage Firewall Rules" button on the main overview page in your Memset Control Panel.

The firewalling overview page shows you the following firewalling information for each of your servers and services that are currently Live within your account.

  • Server - This will show the Server or Service for the Firewall Rule Group.
  • Firewall type - This shows the firewalling level for each server.
  • Firewall rule group - This shows the rule group used by your server. There are two options available;
    • Choose - This will allow you to choose a new Rule Group for the server. - More information on this can be found here.
    • Edit - This will allow you to Edit the currently selected Rule Group for the Server. - See the "Using the Firewall Editor" page for further details.
  • Status - This shows whether there are any pending configuration changes for the Firewall Group that need to be loaded. - More information on this can be found here.

Additionally it will also list any "Unused Rule Groups" that are available with an option to "Edit" these Rule Groups.

At the bottom of the page you have the option to "Add new Rule Group" and to "View Firewalling Documentation" (This Documentation).

Firewalling Overview (by Server)

You can access the firewalling overview for an individual Server or Service by clicking the "Firewalling" button under Management Tools on the Servers Management page in your control panel.

The firewalling overview page shows you the following firewalling information for the selected Server or Service;

  • Server - This will show the Server or Service for the Firewall Rule Group.
  • Firewall type - This shows the firewalling level for the server.
  • Firewall rule group - This shows the rule group used by the server. There are two options available;

Deprecated Rule Groups

If you see a warning about deprecated rule groups, we recommend that you change your server to one of our currently managed rule groups or create your own rule group.
